What is MythicProxy?
MythicProxy adds network-wide variables, signals, triggers and placeholders to MythicMobs on servers behind a Velocity proxy.
It is a pair of plugins. The Velocity plugin on the proxy stores the data and passes changes between the backends. The Paper plugin on every backend adds the mechanics, conditions, triggers and placeholders to MythicMobs. See Installation for what you need.
What You Can Do
- Network Variables: share values between all servers: one for the whole network, one per player, or, with MythicRPG Premium, one per MythicRPG profile. Set them with networkVariableSet, add to a number from any server with networkVariableAdd, remove them with networkVariableUnset, and check them with networkVariableEquals, networkVariableIsSet and networkVariableInRange. The proxy saves them, and they can expire. See Network Variables.
- Signals: send a named signal with an optional payload to one player, one server or the whole network with networkSignal.
- Network Triggers: onNetworkJoin, onServerSwitch, onNetworkQuit and onNetworkSignal run skills when players join, switch servers or leave, or when a signal arrives.
- Config Event Casts: list skills under
eventsin the backend config to cast them on joins, switches, quits and signals, without any mob or item. - Placeholders: read variables, the number of players online on the network or on one server, and the server a player is on. See Placeholders.
- Little Setup: in most networks the backends find the proxy and their own name by themselves, and use the Velocity forwarding secret. See Connecting Backends.
- Storage: SQLite by default, or MySQL. See Storage.
- Proxy Restarts: while the proxy is unreachable, backends keep their values, hold their changes and catch up when it is back. See When a Proxy Is Down.
- Multiple Proxies: run more than one proxy. See Multiple Proxies.
- Plugin API: other plugins can send messages between servers and use leases and blobs on the proxy. See API.
