Placeholders

The placeholders MythicProxy adds to MythicMobs. Use them in any MythicMobs text that takes placeholders. They are MythicMobs placeholders, not PlaceholderAPI ones, see Compatible Plugins.

These placeholders require MythicMobs Premium!

Network Variable Placeholders

These placeholders print the value of a network variable. NAME is the var of the variable.

Placeholder Prints
<global.netvar.NAME> The global variable NAME
<caster.netvar.NAME> The variable NAME of the caster, who must be a player
<target.netvar.NAME> The variable NAME of the target, who must be a player
<caster.profilenetvar.NAME> The variable NAME of the caster's active MythicRPG profile
<target.profilenetvar.NAME> The variable NAME of the target's active MythicRPG profile
  • netvar reads what the caster and target scopes wrote, and profilenetvar what the profile and targetprofile scopes wrote. caster and target only choose which player is read, see Variable Scopes.
  • How each type prints is listed in Variable Types.
  • Meta keywords can follow the name, as with MythicMobs var placeholders.

Unset Variables

A variable that is not set, or has expired, prints UNDEFINED. Add a default to print something else:

  • <global.netvar.boss_kills|0> prints 0 when the variable is not set.
  • <target.netvar.boss_kills{default=0}> prints 0 in more cases: also when the target is not a player, when the player's variables are not loaded on this server, and for profilenetvar when the player has no active profile. In those cases the |0 form prints UNDEFINED.

Network Placeholders

These placeholders read the list of players that the proxy sends to every server, see Player Directory.

Placeholder Prints
<network.online> The number of players on the whole network
<network.server.SERVER.online> The number of players on the server SERVER
<caster.network.server> The name of the server the player is on
  • <network.online> is 0 until this server has received the list.
  • SERVER is the server's name in velocity.toml, in any letter case. A server with no players, or one that does not exist, gives 0.
  • network.server needs a scope: caster (or c), target, trigger, owner or parent. For a player who is not in the list yet it prints this server's own name, and for anything that is not a player it prints UNDEFINED.

Examples

The player who right-clicks sees how many bosses they and the whole network have killed. The target is the player, so target reads their variable.

KillKeeper:
  Type: VILLAGER
  Skills:
  - message{m="You have killed <target.netvar.boss_kills|0> bosses. The network has killed <global.netvar.boss_kills|0>"} @trigger ~onInteract

The variables that triggers add to a skill, such as <skill.var.signal>, are listed in Skill Variables.
